Last year SRO Motorsport introduced the "new" GT2 class. It is for racecars with more power than GT3 cars, but less aero. So the GT2's will be slower, but not necessarily easier to drive.
The GT2 class will only be open to amateur drivers.
The Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS clubsport is the first car for this class. Audi recently introduced their R8 GT2, Ferrari will also join maybe later this year, and 3 more constructors will join next year.
The 935 is basically the same as the GT2 RS, but with a different body.
