Murray Walker dead: Legendary F1 commentator dies aged 97
Murray Walker OBE, the legendary motorsport commentator known as the voice of Formula One, has passed away aged 97, the BRDC have announcedLegendary motorsport commentator Murray Walker OBE has passed away aged 97.

Walker was known as the Voice of F1 having provided television commentary of coverage of the sport for the BBC between 1976 and 1996, and for ITV between 1997 and 2001A statement from the British Racing Drivers’ Club read: “It’s with great sadness we share the news of the passing of BRDC Associate Member Murray Walker OBE.

“A friend, a true motorsport legend, the nations favourite commentator and a contagious smile.
Murray will be sadly missed, his mark and voice will live on in motorsport and our hears forever.
