With the Hyundai IONIQ 6, customers can choose between several motor and battery packages. In addition to the battery with 53 kWh capacity, there is also a battery with 77.4 kWh available. Depending on the battery chosen, the customer can opt for one electric motor and rear-wheel drive or two electric motors and all-wheel drive. The IONIQ 6 supports ultra-fast 400 volt or 800 volt charging. In this way, the high-voltage battery can be charged within 15 minutes for a range of 351 kilometers.


In keeping with the IONIQ 6 design theme of “Ethical Uniqueness” and inspired by today's environmentally conscious consumers, Hyundai uses sustainable materials on the exterior of the IONIQ 6. The paint for the front and rear aprons as well as the side moldings is made from recycled old tires. The Digital Green paint color is made from bamboo charcoal.

Equipment level ecologically treated leather and recycled PET fabric for the seats, an organic rubber mixture for the dashboard, organic PET fabric for the headliner, organic paint made from vegetable oils for the door panels and recycled fishing nets for the carpet. The latter is a first for the electric sub-brand IONIQ.


The innovative technologies of the IONIQ 6 include the Hyundai Smart Sense assistance systems including functions for semi-autonomous driving at level 2, the matrix LED headlights with selective lighting control, the head-up display, the digital exterior mirrors, and the Hyundai Bluelink telematics system Over-the-air updates and bi-directional loading (vehicle-to-load, V2L). A battery preconditioning function increases charging efficiency.

The standard equipment of all Hyundai IONIQ 6 includes full LED headlights and LED taillights in the distinctive pixel design, 18-inch alloy wheels, two 12.25-inch screens for the cockpit and the navigation system. Also ex works are a reversing camera, heated front seats, two different charging cables and the electrically opening tailgate with easy-open function. The standard equipment on all IONIQ 6 also includes a 230-volt socket under the rear seat. This means customers can also rely on the innovative bi-directional charging capability of the Hyundai IONIQ 6 while driving. A compartment under the hood, the so-called “frunk” (front trunk), offers additional storage space for smaller pieces of luggage or devices.

The customer can adapt the IONIQ 6, which is already very extensively equipped ex works, to his wishes with the three equipment packages DYNAMIQ, TECHNIQ and UNIQ.

With the DYNAMIQ package, additional functions from Hyundai Smart Sense are added to the IONIQ 6. These include active blind spot assistant, rear cross traffic warning with emergency braking function and exit warning. The DYNAMIQ package can be visually recognized by the high-gloss black on the undersides of the exterior mirror housings and the window frame surrounds. A heat pump increases the efficiency of the high-performance battery, while the electrically adjustable driver's seat, the wireless smartphone charging function and the automatically dimming interior mirror increase driving comfort. The preparation for the trailer hitch, with which the Hyundai IONIQ 6 can tow trailers with a permissible total weight of up to 1,500 kilograms, rounds off the scope of the DYNAMIQ package. Customers can also choose between eleven metallic, mineral effect and matt paint finishes. A glass sliding roof is available as an option.

The TECHNIQ package also offers the sensor-based occupant alarm, the highway assistant 2.0 and the emergency braking assistant 2.0 including turning, crossing, lane changing and evasive maneuver functions. Visual identifying features are the privacy glazing from the B-pillar and the matrix LED headlights in pixel design with projection technology, which selectively illuminate the road and thus reduce the risk of dazzling oncoming road users. The outside door handles in the TECHNIQ package automatically fold out electrically, the insulated windshield reduces heat radiation, and the head-up display projects important information onto the windshield. The electrically adjustable front passenger seat with electrical lumbar support, the rear seat heating for the outer seats and the individually adjustable, two-tone ambient lighting ensure even greater driving comfort.
